Whiskey and Bourbon

Just looking into the diffs...

WHISKEY

• Covers a broad range of liquors including bourbon. Canadian, Irish, rye, etc.

BOURBON

• More mellow than other whiskies (had to make sure that was an actual word).
• Has be be made in the US.
• Other specs such as min/max proof, type of aging barrel, etc.

Also found out scotch (also a subset of whiskey) has arguably tighter specs than bourbon. And like bourbon, it has to be made in a specific place - Scotland if you didn't catch that.

But never thought about it -  bourbon is Made in USA.
